Velveteen Woodworks
Why “Velveteen Woodworks”?
The name has a nod to the childhood story, The Velveteen Rabbit, a rabbit stuffed with sawdust. A story about how when things are loved and used in part of peoples lives, they become real. In my work, I strive to create products that will fit into peoples lives and become a real part of I don’t know Create thoughtful goods, which will be made real by the care of their stewards. Wood being an authentic really like earthy product and in the world, where that’s very fast paced in tech focus having a touchstone back to like the roots of of what people what brought people together like that that is something that’s very real A real part of peoples lives. Things that “last for always.”
Velveteen is an unassuming material. While it looks like velvet it is usually made from soft cotton and sometimes some silk. As a self-taught woodworker, I like the idea that high-quality work can be achieved at the hobbyist level with a little bit of light-hearted, playful, meticulous, refined, precise, detailed attention.

Why the logo?
This logo was loving and thoughtfully designed by my father. He carefully considered each aspect, with a focus on every detail, from the minimalist shapes to the clean lines, ensuring that the logo would not only be visually appealing but also convey the intended message and values of the brand.
The font style for both the title line and the logo were inspired by the font used by William Nicholson (b. 1872, England), the artist for Margery William’s original book, The Velveteen Rabbit.
The flag or banner is loose adaptation of a rabbit’s ear and a signature look in my father’s watercolors and architectural design.
The circular dashed line is an abstraction of a radial saw blade, a tool key to my woodworking and the first large tool I acquired in my hobby.
